Housing Adapters

Multimedia Applications
Corning Cabelcon housing adapters are developed for digital multimedia applications and exceed all requirements in standard EN 50083, class A.

Technical Advantages
One common amplifier problem is, that the impedance match values (and thus also the return loss specifications) on the in- and output ports depend on the used type and brand of pin connector. Mismatch can cause non-linearity into the system. This problem can be solved for example by the use of Cabelcon’s 5/8M-5/8FU rotational housing adapter, while the installer can continue to use the standard 5/8 male connectors on the cables.

The adapter male part is mounted into the housing before final factory adjustment of the amplifier, and the rotational female part will accept the ordinary 5/8 male connectors already mounted on the cable.

Cabelcon's housing adapters make it very easy to connect and disconnect the cable/connector assembly from active and passive trunk components without removing the connector from the cable. Installer access to the inner part of trunk amplifiers and splitters is no longer necessary.

Design
Cabelcon's housing adapters are developed to be used in professional amplifiers and splitters for optimal performance. That is why Cabelcon's housing adapters are being used by leading international equipment manufactures. Some of our adapters are available in HQ versions vith patented gold plated inner conductors  for perfect performance.
